Memorial service for Olympic track star
LOS ANGELES, Sept. 25 (UPI) _ Hundreds of people bearing flowers and
wearing Flo-Jo T-shirts turned out at a small Los Angeles church to pay
their final respects to the late Olympic track legend Florence Griffith
Joyner.
The triple gold medal-winning Olympian died in her sleep at her home in
Mission Viejo, Calif. on Monday at age 38. Preliminary autopsy findings
have failed to pinpoint her cause of death, though authorities
initially believed she died from a heart seizure.
A public viewing was held today at Angeles Funeral Home from 10 a.m. to
