Up from the Dunes: Tel Aviv's Mayor Invites You to "Meet Your Sister City"

A look through the broad glass windows of Mayor Roni Milo's 12th floor office in Tel Aviv's modern Municipal Building offers a panoramic view of the city Milo leads. To the north, the high rise office buildings and modern houses represent the bustling sophisticated metropolis the city has become. To the west, are the sandy beaches, lapped by blue Mediterranean waters, on which the city was built. And, to the south, lies the ancient city of Jaffa, in biblical times the major port of entry to the land and, later, the birthplace of the modern city.
