The buzz from the crowd started at 7:10 p.m. as David Wells walked from the dugout to the bullpen for his pre-game warmup. By the time he passed the right field bleachers (which were already filled to capacity), the chant of David, David filled the stadium.

When he acknowledged the chanting by waving his glove at them, they erupted with move applause.

David wells, whose last start at the stadium ended in perfection, could easily fit in as a fan in the bleachers. He is that kind of guy.
