New State Anti-Smoking Campaign Announced: California Department Of Health Services Unveil?? $22 Million Advertising And Education Effort

Firing the latest salvo in its war against tobacco use, the California Department of Health Services (DHS) last week unveiled a $22 million advertising campaign aimed at decreasing smoking in people between the age of 18 and 30.

The new campaign comes on the footsteps of tough legislation against tobacco companies in California, dated back to Proposition 99, the Tobacco Tax Initiative, and the more currently the state's prohibition of smoking inside public places.
