(Daily Kent Stater) (U-WIRE) KENT, Ohio -- A recent advertisement, which ran in the Daily Kent Stater, has caused much concern in the campus community and beyond that requires an explanation of the Stater's advertising policy.

The controversial ad dealt with the historical facts centering around the Holocaust during World War II. It asked basic questions attempting to prompt the reader to question the historical basis of the event. Over 20 universities nationwide have run the ad.

First and foremost, it must be made perfectly clear, the editorial (news) and advertising departments are separate from each other.
