Candidates for Clark County commissioner clashed Wednesday over challenger Craig Pridemore's newspaper advertisements.
The confrontation came during their final joint appearance before next week's election.
A tiny crowd of about 20 people watched incumbent Mel Gordon, a Vancouver Republican, and Pridemore, a Minnehaha Democrat, speak to the Evergreen Business Association at Club Green Meadows.
The forum got a bit testy when Gordon challenged Pridemore on his recent advertisements that say Gordon "voted to raise property taxes every year of his term" and "helped increase county spending by 78 percent during his four years in office."
