Swimmer eyes Lake Huron

BYRON CENTER, Mich., Nov. 12 (UPI) _ A Michigan swimmer who made
internatonal headlines as the first person to swim across Lake Michigan
wants to take on Lake Huron.

Jim Dreyer of Byron Center says he wants to make the trek next August
from Michigan's Thumb area to Ontario, Canada.

The 35-year-old set a record this past August when he swam 43 miles
from Two Rivers, Wis., to Ludington, Mich. in 41 hours.

The swim raised over $8,000 for Big Brothers/Big Sisters.

Dreyer wants to take the charity event on a bigger scale and swim the
51-mile span on Lake Huron's tempestuous waters.
