Tulane 63, Louisiana Tech 30
NEW ORLEANS, Nov. 26 (UPI) _ Eleventh-ranked Tulane completed its first
undefeated season since 1931 Thursday night with a 63-30 rout of
Louisiana Tech as Shaun King continued his assault on the record books.
King passed for 330 yards and three touchdowns and rushed for 92 yards
and another score for the Green Wave (11-0), who finished with an
identical 11-0 mark in 1931 before losing in the Rose Bowl to Southern
California.
With the Conference USA title already secured, Tulane accepted a bid to
the Liberty Bowl against Brigham Young after having been dropped from
consideration for a Bowl Championship Series (BCS) game.
