LOS ANGELES (AP) _ The 1935 horror classic ``The Bride of Frankenstein'' and the original 1925 silent version of ``The Phantom of the Opera'' were honored Monday by the Library of Congress for their contributions to American cultural history.
The movies were among the 25 added to the library's National Film Registry. Now at 250 films, the registry was created by Congress in 1988 to celebrate American cinema and to call attention to the need to preserve films.
Also added this year were the little 1928 animated film ``Steamboat Willie'' that helped build the Disney giant, the 1967 Bob Dylan documentary ``Don't Look Back,'' ...
