NEW YORK (AP) _ How do ya like that? Jerry Stiller, veteran comic and actor, was suddenly a star.
Back in 1993, Stiller landed the recurring role of Frank Costanza, George's excitable father on ``Seinfeld.'' As Frank, he modeled a man's brassiere. Obsessively collected TV Guides. Relaxed by bellowing ``Serenity now!'' In fact, he bellowed all the time. Splendidly so.
And along with everything else about ``Seinfeld,'' he was celebrated, loved and declared forever cool.
Then last spring, ``Seinfeld'' came to an end. Whither Stiller?
Faster than Frank Costanza could blow his top, Stiller was snapped up for a new sitcom, ...
