LOS ANGELES (AP) _ As a consolation prize, the Rose Bowl isn't such a bad deal.

The UCLA Bruins, who saw their hopes of a shot at Tennessee and the national title evaporate in a 49-45 loss to Miami on Saturday, instead will play on their home field against Wisconsin on New Year's Day.

Following the loss in Miami, offensive lineman Andy Meyers said the Bruins will be ready to go again.

``The Rose Bowl is a great bowl game,'' Meyers said. ``We'll go home, put it in perspective and regroup. It's going to take some time to recover from this loss, but we'll be fine.''
