KIEV, Ukraine (AP) _ More than 100 German soldiers who died in Ukraine during World War II were re-buried in a new cemetery that will eventually hold the remains of 10,000 Germans killed in the war, a news report said Wednesday.

The funeral ceremony for 139 German soldiers took place Tuesday at the newly opened cemetery near the village of Potilychi in western region of Lviv, the Interfax news agency said.

Germany's war dead in Ukraine are currently buried in several different places, and the new cemetery is designed to bring them to the same plot of land.
