DALLAS (AP) _ The nation's largest pizza chain has sued an upstart rival, charging that the trademarked claim by Papa John's International Inc., ``Better Pizza. Better Ingredients.'' is false.

Dallas-based Pizza Hut Inc. is challenging Papa John's claim that their ingredients makes their pies better.

In a lawsuit filed Wednesday in U.S. District Court in Dallas, Pizza Hut charged that the competition's advertising is ``false, misleading and deceptive.''

``Fundamentally, they do not have better pizza and they don't have better ingredients,'' Pizza Hut president Mike Rawlings said. ``We need to let the consumers know the truth.''
