NEW YORK (AP) _ Abercrombie & Fitch on Tuesday sued American Eagle Outfitters, alleging that the apparel retailer intentionally and systematically copied its image and business practices to boost sales.

The lawsuit pits two of the best-performing mall retailers against one another. Both have loyal followings among teens and young adults who are attracted to the casual clothes and hip atmosphere at both stores.
