OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ No. 2 Kansas scored 110 points in the first round of the Midwest Regional, more than any Jayhawks team ever in the NCAA tournament.
Florida State scored a season-high 96 in its first-round victory over Texas Christian. Rhode Island went up and down the floor all night in scoring a season-high 97 against Murray State.
Only Valparaiso held form. The Crusaders needed Bryce Drew's dramatic, game-winning 3-pointer just to reach the 70-point mark against Mississippi.
Sunday's games could look more like that one, because the points will almost certainly be tougher to come by.
