BEIJING (AP) _ Beijing police beat and interrogated a philosophy teacher who visited dissidents in jail and then made him work at an illegal labor camp in the Chinese capital's suburbs, a rights group said today.
Zhang Jincheng was detained April 14 after he visited veteran democracy activist Xu Wenli and Wei Xiaotao, brother of Wei Jingsheng, China's most famous dissident now living in exile, the Information Center of Human Rights and Democratic Movement in China said.
