AS a secret police file reportedly shows suspected connections between
German businessman Wolfgang Ullrich, who is on the police drug blacklist,
and a local narcotics kingpin, the question of who has benefitted from
Ullrich's arrest grows more intriguing.
After interrogating the German for six hours yesterday, police said
many people -- locals and foreigners -- have gained from last year's arrest
of the man.
However, Pol Lt Gen Luan Parnrosthip, chief of the Central
Investigation Bureau, said no state officials, police or politicians were
implicated in the latest interrogation.
