Fuhr to have arthroscopic surgery

ST. LOUIS, Feb. 7 (UPI) _ St. Louis Blues goaltender Grant Fuhr, who
plans to retire following next season, will undergo exploratory
arthroscopic surgery on his right knee Monday, the team announced
Sunday.

There was no indication of how long Fuhr, 36, would be sidelined.

He returned to the lineup for the first time in six games in Saturday's
4-3 loss to the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim, allowing four goals on 19
shots.

``I'm just not very good right now,'' Fuhr said after the game.
``Simply put, the body's not allowing me to be. My one leg's not liking
me very much. Until we can get along, it's going to be a struggle.''
