(Daily Northwestern) (U-WIRE) EVANSTON, Ill. -- Devastated by the death of her abused, neglected grandchild, a Virginian woman tied a blue ribbon around her car antenna to remember the black and blues he suffered.

Many who attended Kappa Delta's child abuse prevention fireside Thursday followed the tradition and wore blue ribbons on their breast to show child abuse is a community problem they want to help solve. About 100 students attended the fireside.
