(Daily Trojan) (U-WIRE) LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Josh Alexander experienced something most college students hope they never will: he kissed a girl with bad breath.
"It wasn't my fault," said Alexander, a sophomore majoring in history. "I didn't know. It was terrible and gross."
Bad breath, also called halitosis, is a fleeting problem that plagues most people occasionally but can also be an embarrassing chronic condition.
A common myth about halitosis is that it is usually caused by stomach upset or regurgitation.
