FED: Fischer urges wool growers to look forward

CANBERRA, Dec 6 AAP - The federal government would take a back seat in the running of
Australias wool industry, National Party leader Tim Fischer said today as he urged growers to
stop living in the past.

"The government is getting out of the way of the wool industry to allow the bounce back
elements ... to really get on with the job and build a future for that industry," Mr Fischer
told the Ten Network.

"It has a great future, well help facilitate it but essentially, like every other industry,
it will be best done by the industry being run by itself and not by bureaucrats."
