VIC: Premier cannot cry poor over legal costs, says Hulls
MELBOURNE, March 12 AAP - Victorian Premier Jeff Kennett was a wealthy man and should not
be crying poor over his legal costs following his failed defamation action, the state
opposition said today.
"I found the fact that the Premier is crying poor over his legal costs quite astounding,"
opposition legal affairs spokesman Rob Hulls said.
"This bloke's a millionaire who has about $1.4 million in his superannuation account."
Mr Hulls admitted Mr Kennett could only get this money if he resigned, but said he had also
been on a substantial annual $250,000 package as Premier for seven years.
