NSW: Taxi hijacked with blood filled syringe

SYDNEY, March 22 AAP - Two men used a blood-filled syringe to force a Sydney taxi driver
from his vehicle, then stole the car, police said today.

The two hailed the dark green sedan in Bridge Street in the western suburb of Granville at
about 12.30am (AEDT), directing the 41-year-old driver to take them to Rosehill.

"The man in the front seat got him to stop at the intersection of Arthur Street and River
Road, and when he turned on the light the man produced the syringe and demanded money," a
police spokesman told AAP.
