FED: Hill to release Kakadu report today

CANBERRA, April 15 AAP - The federal government will today release its controversial
defence of the Jabiluka uranium mine adjoining Kakadu National Park.

In November last year the UN's World Heritage Bureau accepted a report which called for
Kakadu to be placed on the endangered list, because of the threat posed by the mine.

The government rejected the report as biased and unbalanced and persuaded the bureau to
stay its final decision until the middle of this year.
