FED: Energy consumption growth expected to slow in Aust

CANBERRA, April 15 AAP - Growth in Australia's energy consumption will slow in coming years
with the government's peak commodities forecaster today predicting an annual average growth
rate of 1.4 per cent to 2014-15.

This is almost half the growth rate of the last 25 years, about 2.6 per cent a year.

In a report on energy consumption predictions to 2014, the Australian Bureau of
Agricultural and Resource Economics (ABARE) said several factors would cause the slowdown.
