(The Daily Free Press) (U-WIRE) BOSTON, Mass. -- Take a man from his home and reintroduce him the culture he tried to get away from and you get Danny Quinn. Or is it, Donnie Wahlberg?

Wahlberg premiers May 28 as a conflicted South Boston man in the midst of a difficult homecoming in "Southie." Many Danny Quinn's characteristics were close to home for Wahlberg, a Dorchester native.

The film focuses on Quinn's dysfunctional, alcoholic family whom he must help while at the same time overcoming his own problems.
