(The Daily Athenaeum) (U-WIRE) MORGANTOWN, W.V. -- Big East Baseball Championships start Wednesday in Trenton, N.J. with the six teams facing off in three games.
The tournament is slated for a noon start to kick off the tripleheader.
Sixth seeded West Virginia (12-13 Big East, 29-26 overall) faces off against top seed Notre Dame (20-5 Big East, 41-14 overall). West Virginia has won seven of their last 10 games coming into the tournament.
The Mountaineers have been swinging the bats pretty well this season. The team finished the season with a batting average of .299 with 43 home runs showed that they do have the power to compete with a Notre Dame team ...
