Qld: Jehovah Witness dies without blood transfusion

BRISBANE, June 12 AAP - A Jehovah's Witness car crash victim has died in a southeast
Queensland hospital without a potentially life-saving blood transfusion, forbidden by her
religion.
The 18-year-old woman was trapped for about half an hour after a collision between the car
she was driving and another car, about 4.5km east of Gin Gin, just after 5pm yesterday, police
said.
She had to be cut free by fire officers after the accident on the Bundaberg to Gin Gin Road
before being taken to Bundaberg Hospital where she later died.
