TOKYO (AP) - With the nation battling the worst recession since World War II, most Japanese are worried about just keeping their heads above water. Others are going out and buying sports cars.
Sports car sales are soaring the solitary glimmer of hope in an otherwise plunging auto market. Domestic carmakers are the biggest winners in the fad, though European models are selling briskly as well. American brands, however, are once again a hard sell.
