Richard Pryor Wins Inaugural Kennedy Center Mark Twain Prize
The first annual Kennedy Center Celebration of American Humor will take place at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts beginning Sunday, Oct. 18 through Oct. 20. The celebration will include lectures, symposia, and master classes, and will culminate in the Concert Hall on Tuesday, Oct. 20, when Richard Pryor will be presented with the inaugural Kennedy Center Mark Twain Prize, named after one of the world's greatest exponents of humor.
