ATHS: Hurdler in critical state after allergy attack
BATH, England, June 17 Reuters - British hurdler Ross Baillie was in critical condition in
hospital today after an allergic reaction to a lunchtime sandwich.
Baillie had been doing some weight training earlier this week with double world
short-course swimming champion Mark Foster, whose quick thinking ensured he received prompt
treatment.
"After training we were going to play some golf in the afternoon," Foster, who is also
based at the University of Bath, said today. "We went to the sandwich shop and they made us
something with chicken.
