ATHS: Hurdler Baillie dies from allergy attack

BATH, England, June 18 Reuters - Sprint hurdler Ross Baillie, one of Britain's most
promising young track and field athletes, died today after an allergic reaction to a lunchtime
sandwich.
Bath's Royal United Hospital (RUH) said in a statement that Baillie, who had a nut allergy,
died this morning with his family at his bedside.
"Ross, who was admitted on Tuesday afternoon, did not regain consciousness during his stay
in intensive care," it said.
"He was admitted following a lunch at which he ate a sandwich, which appears to have
