RU: WA must wait for answer on Test rugby

PERTH, June 20 AAP - Western Australia will have to wait to learn whether it will host
international rugby again next year.

Last night's crowd of 26,267 for Australia's second Test win over Ireland at Subiaco Oval
matched the first Test figure in Brisbane a week earlier and was another
encouraging sign for the Australian Rugby Union as it tries to expand the game nationally.

The fixture was well down on last year's 38,079 who saw Australia lose 14-13 to South
Africa in rugby's international debut in Western Australia, but ARU chief John O'Neill said he
was pleased with the support the ...
