Convention Center to upgrade its technology

The Pennsylvania Convention Center is investing $700,000 over the next six months to upgrade the facility's technical capabilities, making it the most state-of-the-art facility in the northeast.

The $700,000 investment will be used to redesign the Center's network infrastructure, purchase and install the latest multi and single mode fiber optic wiring, upgrade to high-band width copper wiring from Category 3 to Category 5 and higher levels in every part of the building, and to purchase the latest advances in audio and video conferencing.
