SA: Positive thinking patterns the cure to insomnia
ADELAIDE, June 14 AAP - Thoughts of warm, sunny days instead of the stress of everyday life
could be the key to beating insomnia.
A new study, to be conducted by University of South Australia master of clinical psychology
student Rita Bruche, will examine the link between a person's thoughts and their sleeping
habits.
Ms Bruche said insomniacs were often hindered by distressing thoughts when retiring to the
bedroom.
"People who are having trouble getting to sleep will have more catastrophic types of
thinking and are generally more distressed," Ms Bruche said.
