CYCLE: Commesso wins 13th stage, Armstrong keeps yellow jersey
ALBI, France, July 17 AFP - Italy's Salvatore Commesso of Saeco won the 13th stage of the
Tour de France today, a 236.5km route from Saint-Flour to Albi, crossing the line ahead of
compatriot and fellow escapee Marco Serpellini.
The peloton, including overall race leader Lance Armstrong who held onto his yellow jersey,
finished 22min adrift of the leading pair in the longest stage of this year's race.
The 24-year-old Commesso, Italian national champion and riding in his first Tour, finished
in 5hr 52min 45sec, 2sec ahead of Serpellini, yet to complete a tour in three attempts.
