The story of Curtis Mayfield is indeed a remarkable one. At the tender age of 14, he wrote the Impressions hit song "Gypsy Woman". Since then, his extraordinary career has spanned nearly four decades. He has written over sixteen top 40 hit songs for his former group the "Impressions" as well a many solo songs, such songs include "It's Alright" "People Get Ready" and the timeless mega-hits of the entire "Superfly" soundtrack.
