Kellogg Foundation Announces African-American Males Initiative.
The W.K. Kellogg Foundation of Battle Creek, Michigan, has announced a major initiative aimed at improving the lives of African-American males and their families.
The $8.5 million initiative includes grants to organizations serving African-American men and boys, and the establishment of a national advisory task force to provide overall guidance for the effort. A total of 15 grants have been made to date.
The effort will primarily focus on two issues: the delivery of multi-layered services and leadership development.
