Newspaper collection completed on Menominee.
EAU CLAIRE, Wis. -- After 14 months of organizing more than 1,000 newspaper articles about the Menominee Indians of Wisconsin, duplicate six-volume collections were placed in the William D. McIntyre Library at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and in the Menominee Tribal Library in Keshena.
The UW-Eau Claire Letitia Caldwell Menominee Indian Newspaper collection is available to historians, students, faculty and community members.
Ms. Caldwell, of Shawano, Wis., donated Wisconsin newspapers containing articles about the Menominees that she had been collecting for almost 40 years.
