No corruption seen in loans to Person.
This much Circuit Judge Ralph Person wants the Black community to understand: he suffered a serious lapse in ethical judgment when he accepted two loans but he did nothing criminal and there is no conspiracy to bring him down because he is Black.
"I certainly don't want the community to marshall itself around the theory that there is a conspiracy to destroy another Black man," the veteran judge told The Times Tuesday.
Person's comment came after The Miami Herald reported that the FBI has been investigating him because of the loans for possible corruption.
