DAVIS -- Founded by Wynton Marsalis and David Berger in 1988 as the "house big band" for Lincoln Center's Classical Jazz Series, the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra plays a unique role on the international jazz scene as a contemporary ensemble dedicated to interpreting historic historic big band compositions.
