A FEW months ago, David Brinkley was a widely respected
journalist on ABC's Sunday morning news show "This Week." Now he's doing
commercials for the show's prime sponsor, Archer Daniels Midland.
The curmudgeonly Brinkley may not care what other journalists
think, but many of us are outraged. When someone as well-known as David
Brinkley sells out, it makes us all look bad.
It's not just his new job. There are lots of journalists who
change careers in midstream ...
