DENVER -- Todd Hundley slumped in the chair in front of his locker in the
visiting clubhouse Tuesday afternoon at Coors Field. The Mets catcher
had gone two days without making an out while hitting three home runs
and driving in eight runs. And instead of celebrating, Hundley's agony
was barely audible.
"I'm dead right now," Hundley muttered. "I feel beat. The air here,
the heat. I'm dying. Is that all? Can I go die now?"
