Vasyl Yermilov: a forgotten master of the avant-garde.

March 22 marked the 100th anniversary of the birth of one of Ukraine's most innovative artists of the 1920s Vasyl Yermilov. 1 He has been referred to as "a brilliant representative of Constructivism in Ukraine, "2 "one of the most significant figures among the artists of Kharkiv,"3 and considered by his contemporaries as "the such praise and a remarkable body of avant-garde work including painting, graphic design and architecture, he is little known or remembered.
