The Trumpet Awards To Honor Black Achievers

In honor of the 1999 Trumpet Awards, which will premiere on TBS Superstation, Sunday, February 21 at 7 p.m. (ET) 4 p.m. (PT), the network will dedicate the entire day to some of Hollywood's biggest African American stars and cinema. The award-winning HBO film "Miss Evers Boys," the Oscar-winning film "Glory," and "In The Heat Of The Night" an the powerfully poignant films "Sounder" and "A Woman Called Moses" highlights the memorable day.

The Trumpet Awards honor African American achievers in fields as diverse as law, medicine, politics and entertainment. This year's ceremony, hosted by Debbie Allen and Kweisi Mfume, ...
