"Music is good for your health. When you go up there to play music, nothing bothers you. It's so relaxing," said Henry Louie, president of the Luck Ngi Club, as the group practiced for its 56th anniversary concert.
Louie, who says he is over 70, was a young man in 1937, when he got together to play Chinese music with a small group of friends in Seattle's Chinatown.
A year later, the musicians found a space for rent on King Street and formed the Luck Ngi Club. The group began doing fund-raising performances in Chinatown and in places like the Victoria Square Theatre to support ...
