POWER-PLAY UNIT MIRED IN A SLUMP

NEW YORK -- For most of this season, the Rangers' power play has carried them.
Lately, however, what had been the league's most efficient unit has
stopped producing. The Rangers entered Tuesday night's game against
Ottawa on an 0-for-15 slump on the power play over their past three
games.

It was no coincidence they had lost two in a row and scored just
one goal in that span. In fact, in games in which they've failed to
score a power-play goal entering Tuesday, the Blueshirts were 5-14-1.
