CHILDREN'S EXPRESS: Lee Brown says drug. education is everyone's responsibility
For the first time in 10 years, drugs are on the rise among kids and teenagers. Kids aren't getting the message anymore. We talked with federal "drug czar" Lee Brown, director of the Office of National Drug Control Policy, about what we can do about this.
Brown put an emphasis on reducing demand for drugs and on better education. He said that there were counseling and treatment services available for young addicts, but he also said, "Our major objective is to keep young people from using drugs in the first place."
