Summer movies...big, funny: `Renaissance Man'...Hamlet solves bad. attitudes
You might be tempted to pass up "Renaissance Man" because of your aversion to Danny DeVito and your memories of his clownish activities on "Taxi." Thankfully we're fans of Gregory Hines and Kadeem Hardison and we found "Renaissance Man" one of the few thoughtful, entertaining movies we've run across in a long time. This is not an "Officer and a Gentleman" movie...nor is it a clownish remake of "Cadence."
Danny DeVito is the glue that holds this movie together and it doesn't take long before he has the movie grabbing at your heartstrings.
