Patrick Lucey of Ringwood, an Army veteran who was working his way
through college, died of a gunshot wound on Wednesday.

The police called it a suicide but declined to elaborate.

Family members termed it a shooting accident involving a handgun.
They said the incident occurred at about 7 a.m. in the yard of a
friend's home in the Skyline Lakes section.
